Costa Rica is a peaceful country that decided to invest in its citizens by eliminating the army in 1948 and using the resources to strengthen education and health.
Although its official language is Spanish, a large majority of Costa Ricans speak English.
Multicultural, multilingual and with a diverse gastronomy, Costa Rica is influenced by immigrants of different nationalities and indigenous people. Costa Ricans, or Ticos, as they call themselves, are known for their friendliness and welcoming nature.
Costa Rica provides high connectivity with electricity reaching 97% of its territories. It also has two International Airports, Juan Santamaría International Airport near the capital and the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in the province of Guanacaste. Furthermore, Costa Rica runs 100% on renewable energy all year long.
